Dr. Raquel Minerva Castaño González

Dr. Castaño is Director of the Master in Marketing at the EGADE Business School, Monterrey and has been Associate Director of the undergraduate major in Marketing at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Dr. Castaño represents the EGADE Business School, Monterrey in the SUMAQ alliance of business schools.

She has worked for Grupo Gamesa in distinct marketing areas including as Manager of Market Research, Brand Manager for Cookies and Pastas, and Group Manager for Gamesa Products. Raquel Castaño heads the research chair: "Globalization, Understanding the Latino Consumer", where her own research centers on consumer behavior, particularly in the area of adoption of new products and decision making processes. Her research has been published in the proceedings of national and international congresses and in academic and business journals.

She has taught at the undergraduate, master and doctoral levels in the areas of consumer behavior, strategic marketing planning and development of new products, both in face-to-face, virtual and online formats. In addition, she has participated in courses in Marketing Management and Global Marketing Management in master’s programs with foreign universities. She received the Prize for Teaching and Research at the Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2005.
